Brewing Instructions
- Amount: 1 tsp (2 grams) of loose tea per 8 oz. of water
- Temperature: 212 degrees
- Steep Time: 3-5 minutes
About Tea from the Kumaon Region
The Kumaon region of India was initially planted with tea in the 1850's but abandoned because it was too far to get to any port. This tea thrived in the wild for 170 years until 1990 when the Indian government initiated a program to revive tea growth as a way to create rural livelihood opportunities.

This might be my new favorite from Lager Point Tea. Kumaon Black is a very satisfying full bodied tea with a clean gentle finish that stands up really well to milk and sugar. Add to that the "lots of bang", and it is a great way to start my day. As usual, the shipments are always prompt and well packaged.
